This memorial website is designed to unite the works and web resources of Dima Khmelev, as well as to provide an opportunity to read and talk about him.
Dima was a gifted scientist, working in several areas of mathematics, including probability, queueing theory and one-dimensional dynamics, and text analysis. He is well known in the Russian-speaking internet community for his text conversion and classification projects, such as the Lingvoanalizator and xcode programs. Those that have known him personally know how inspiring was any communication with him. His sudden death in October 2004 was a shock that many of his friends are still dealing with.
